Anthony has been working on adjectives and feelings. These are written in red.
Here is his made up Moshi Monster story.

My moshi is called Eye-ball. It's got 7 eyes and a long tongue and a long tail. It lives in a fat house with a telescope up on the house. It catches fish every day with its tongue. He's got a loveheart that spurts dynomite in the water. I think my moshi is awesome as because he's got 12 eyes and that makes me feel happy.

Friday is Discovery Time Day! How exciting. Today's focus was to think about a problem that we encounter and how we fixed our problem. There was a lot of great talking 'on the go' but we found it much harder to reflect about our problem solving. We'll try this again next week to help us better understand about problem solving and solutions.

Anthony read Goldilocks and the Three Bears and then he wrote a description about what happened at the start of the story! Great work Anthony!

We wrote fabulous taniwha stories last week and then we drew our pictures using Kidpix. We really like how our pictures match our descriptions that we had written.

We are learning to take risks this term so we combined this with our Marae visits and used our new learning about taking risks to create our taniwha art. We are really happy with how we took the time to think about creating exciting artwork. We used crayon and dye so had to think carefully about not colouring in all of the paper so that the dye had somewhere to soak in to. What a great job we did. What do you think?

We are spending the week writing about aliens. As inspiration, today we made our aliens out of modelling clay. Not one alien is the same as another! We used our imaginations to create them! Thanks Jessica for taking such great photos.

On Thursday, Jared's Mum brought in their boxer puppies for us to play with. It was fantastic and they were sooo cute. Miss Sharland wanted to take one home! Thanks Mrs Booth for bringing the puppies in and thanks Jessica for taking such great photos.
