We have been reading Maui and the Sun to improve our retelling skills. We decided to do some art with this wonderful Maori legend so the children drew suns with koru's as the rays and then chose whether they were going to do the sun in the beginning, middle or end of the story.
The three suns each had different colours and background sky colour and the children used their fingers to paint.
What a wonderful time they had!!
