My dinosaur in pink.  It has some dark pink dots and has a dark pink mowhawk.  It is a girl.  She as a long pair of legs.  She does not have a fat puku.  I love my dinosaur.  She has some dots on the side.  Her friends are girls and boys.  She loves her friends.  Her friends are purple, brown, yellow, orange and green.  Her friends names are Rocky, Bre, Henry, Dopow, Teeth, Doree and lucky last, Zoopey.  She is named Zyesiha and she loves her name and her life.  Her life is wonderful.

My dinosaur is pink.  It has a spiky mohawk.  It has blue eyes.  It is pink like a flamingo.  It has little claws.  It has claws at the front and the back.  It has dark pink spots.  It is a girl.  It lives in Auckland.  It goes to the toilet in the field.  It has a little house.  It is called Danielle.  Her friends are Bre and Zyesiah.  My dinosaur is awesome.  My dinosaur has little friends.  She is as skiinny as a stick.  My dinosaur has little hands.  It has long arms and legs.

Brearna's Dinosaur Story

She's got small skinny long legs.  She's got a big pink spikey mohawk.  Her claws are on her feet and some claws are on her hands.  Some of her friends are big and small.  Her tail is pink and small.  Tney all love to go out every day and explore the whole world.  They love the waterfalls and the trees.  All of them love to eat.  The grass is fresh as can be.  All of them always love to sleep in every day.  They all love the mountains.  There are lots of logs that they can munch on.  They love to go swimming with each other.  My dinosaur also loves to listen to music too.

Descriptive Writing

This week we are writing about one of the characters in 'The Land Before Time'.

Drama Time!

Every Wednesday we spend 45 minutes with Mrs Humphrey learning all about drama and playing out different characters.  This week we had to walk like we were wearing gumboots, ballet shoes and high heels!  We played another game of 'Duck, duck, animal' where the person chasing had to act out an animal as they chased their tagger.  Then we went back into the classroom and had another game of 'Poor cow, poor cow, poor cow'.  It's really hard not to laugh when someone is in front of you trying to make you laugh by mooing out a great big moo!!

Hapy and Healthy

At the moment we are learning about being happy and healthy.  We know what food we need to eat in order to be healthy and have lots of energy.  We also know what we need to do in order to be happy and ready for the school day.

Next week we are going to see Harold in the Life Ed bus!  Here are a few songs about being happy and healthy that Harold likes to sing.

Sing along with Harold!

Today we had our Graham Braddock Workshop where we learnt how to sketch a face.  We did an amazing job because we did it step by step.  We had an outline on our paper already and learnt how to place and draw eyes, noses, mouths, eyebrows and hair.  It is harder than it looks but we think our portraits are great!

We had a great time reading 'The Rainbow Fish', then finger painting our own Rainbow Fish before putting glitter on one scale.  This story taught us all about being nice to others and how something little can make someone else feel very special. 

We are learning about how to be healthy and happy.  Watch these videos to remind yourself how to wash your hands properly, how to brush your teeth properly and how to eat healthy so that you grow big and strong.

A very big belated welcome to 2013!  We are finally up and running.

Well, it's Week 3 and we have had a very busy couple of weeks with settling into our new classroom, swimming and getting to know each other.  We are a great bunch of children who support each other and know how to care for one another already.  Amazing!

Term 1 is a busy term (as usual).  We have goal setting meetings in Week 5 and our LSS gala on the 6th April.
