Letter Writing

For written language at the moment we are focussing on writing letters.  The children are learning how to set out their letters as well as what sort of information to include.  They are also learning why communication is important and how it has changed over the years.
Here are 4 examples of draft writing from the children.  Their spelling mistakes have been changed because they will be using this draft writing for publishing and then they will send it to the friend they have written it to.

We are learning to:
Write letters.

We'll know we can do this when:
We set out our letters correctly (Brian)
We have included all our information (Jaxon)
We have achieved our own learning intention (Jonaia)
