Today all the Junior Jets spent the day at Ashhurst Domain where we did activities that involved us really looking at nature.  Here is a brief description of what we did...
Nature Rubbings - We had to find certain things (wood, leaf, flower etc), put them under our paper and then rub a crayon over them to see what pattern they produced.
Scavenger Hunt - We had a list of items that we had to find (spider, insect, something that looked like a letter of the alphabet etc)
Bush Walk - We spent about half an hour following the path through the bush and managed to hear lots of different birds (and even see a few flying around).

We are very proud of ourselves because we showed Respect to our environment by taking our rubbish with us and walking carefully around the plants.  We took Ownership of our Akohia by thinking carefully about the activities and doing them as well as we could.  We had Courage by doing something that scared us a little (for some it was just walking through the bush where there wasn't much light).

Thanks so much to Onaysis's Dad, Annashae's Mum and Zoe's Mum for their fantastic help and support.  We couldn't have done it without you!
