What a busy busy start to Term 2 we have had.
We are learning about Rights and Responsibilities and we are doing this through learning about Fairy Tales. We have carried this into our written language and we are using Fairy Tales to learn about how to write letters.
These boys were so proud of their work that we just had to share it with everyone. All of their learning intentions are to use finger spacing between their words which they are getting really good at. The highlighted parts of the work show where the boys have used their finger spacing. Isaac wrote his letter to the Giant all by himself and Jed, Malakai, Kaleb and Luke worked with me as a group to write theirs together.
Click on the green arrow to hear the boys reading their stories.
Way to go boys.

Wow! Room 1 your work is awesome. I enjoyed reading your letters. Your teacher is very clever publishing your work on the web.

Dear Miss Sharland and the boys of Room 1,
Well, how fun to be learning with you when we live on different continents! I am very impressed with your letters and particularly enjoyed seeing the artwork that you included. I would like to know if the boys like to write as much as they like to draw. They are very good at both!
Miss Sharland is a very special teacher and it seems that she is lucky to have some very special students.
Happy Learning! Mrs. Nelson
Hi Mrs Nelson!
Thank you for your comment! Yes we do love to write as much as we love to draw! We have gotten a lot better than last year.
